“The Lord’s Supper” 1 Corinthians 11:17-34
Theme: God has given a meal of remembrance fulfilling the Jewish meals (in particular the passover meal) and pointing forward to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb, whereby we proclaim Jesus’ Christ’s death until He returns.
Aim: Feed upon Christ by faith alone.
The Lord’s Supper is…
(1) A picture of feeding upon Christ by faith
(2) A Meal of Remembrance
(3) For believers in Jesus Christ
(4) For the local church
(5) It doesn’t save us
“King of the Jews” Mark 6:30-56
Theme: Jesus is relentless in feeding, shepherding, healing, and saving His people, and He is the King promised to the Jews in the Word.
Aim: Know that Jesus is King, not only of the Jews, but also of us. By faith He is your king. You need not have any fear in the face of things that are fearful. He is good, trustworthy, and true.

“God Provides for His People” Ruth 2:1-3:18
Theme: God’s people are refugees who take refuge in God by seeking a Redeemer and waiting for redemption.
Aim: Take refuge from the trials of this world and from God’s eternal wrath in the Redeemer, Jesus Christ.
