Redeemer Baptist Church voted to call and install Noah as senior pastor/elder on July 19, 2015.
From a young age, Noah knew that he was a sinner who deserved God’s wrath and can’t remember a time in his life when he hasn’t trusted in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of his sins.
Noah’s originally from Dallas Center, Iowa, and has been married to Lindsey since 2003. Together, they have four children.
He studied music education and guitar performance at Drake University, started seminary at Reformed Theological Seminary, and graduated with a Master of Divinity from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
He served as a pastoral intern at Capitol Hill Baptist Church in Washington, D.C., and worked for the Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission on Capitol Hill. Before moving back to Iowa in 2012, he was involved in church revitalization as a member of Del Ray Baptist Church in Alexandria, Virginia.
Just for fun, here are a few of Noah’s favorites:
- Movie: The Empire Strikes Back
- Marvel character: Captain America
- Book (besides the Bible):
- Serious: William Plumer’s Commentary on the Psalms
- Fun: Jack Kirby’s run of The Fantastic Four
- Child: (just kidding!)
- Ice cream: Caramel pecan
- Jazz musician: Pat Metheny
