“King Jesus” Mark 1:16-45

“King Jesus” Mark 1:16-45

An Expositional Sermon
In this text we are starting to see the glory of Christ’s authority and power. He is the only King with power over men, spirits, and illness. He is a king who prays and preaches. There is so much poor leadership and authority vein demonstrated in this world, but Christ is the perfect king whose rule is the perfect fulfillment of the last words of King David: “He that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God. And he shall be as the light of the morning, when the sun riseth, even a morning without clouds; as the tender grass springing out of the earth by clear shining after rain.” (1 Samuel 23:3-4, KJV) Turn from the empty kings of this world, and have Christ as your King who fought for you, who loves you, and who will bring His people to be with Him one day in the presence of God’s glory forever.
