Pastor/Elder – Jordan Daggett
Jordan grew up in a godly home in Winterset, Iowa. He was presented the Gospel often but doubted the grace of God in Christ for himself in light of his sin. At age 15 he attended a short term missions trip in New York City where he heard the Gospel presented, at which time, the Holy Spirit convicted him of his sin and he turned and put his trust in Christ’s death and resurrection. With great assurance of joy for the first time he knew of the Father’s great love for a sinner such as himself. After high school he studied Biblical Studies and played football at Northwestern University (St. Paul). Jordan has been a member at RBC since September 13, 2015 and RBC voted to call and install Jordan as an elder on January 8, 2017. Including Scripture some books that have influenced and been formative in his life and theology are: (1) Desiring God: Meditations of a Christian Hedonist by John Piper, (2) Knowing God by J. I. Packer; (3) A Dissertation Concerning The End For Which God Created The World by Jonathan Edwards, (4) Overcoming Sin and Temptation by John Owen, Editors Kelly M. Kapic and Justin Taylor, and (5) The Whole Christ: Legalism, Antinomianism, and Gospel Assurance—Why the Marrow Controversy Still Matters by Sinclair B. Ferguson.
