Theme: Man is a reflection, under authority, powerless, and made to worship God. Aim: Trust in the only God who is able to save us from the trials in this world and His eternal wrath that we deserve for our sin. What is man? “How Pride Works” Daniel 4:1-37

Theme: God rules and we don’t. Aim: Take up your cross and follow Jesus Christ. (1) Good News (Daniel 4:1-3) (2) Nebuchadnezzar’s Dream (Daniel 4:4-18) (3) Bad News (Daniel 4:19-27) (4) God’s Word Fullfilled (Daniel 4:28-33) (5) The Fruit of God’s Word (Daniel 4:34-37)

“Saved from Fire” Daniel 3:8-30

Theme: Only God can save us from fire. Aim: Put your hope in Christ alone for salvation from the threats of this world, but also in the face of God’s eternal wrath. “How Idolatry Works” Daniel 3:1-7

Theme: The world wants you to worship empty things. Aim: Understand more of how idolatry works, and flee it through hope in Christ. (1) Man-Made & Seeks a Congregation (Daniel 3:1-3) (2) A Herald Accompanied by Music (Daniel 3:4-5) (3) Opposition is Threatened (Daniel 3:6) (4) People Fall Down and Worship (Daniel 3:7)

“War of Kings” Daniel 2:1-49

Theme: Our fears are removed as we trust in Jesus Christ, the King of kings. Aim: Reject the kings of this world, and to have Christ as your king. (1) Worldly Kingdoms Cower in Fear (Daniel 2:1-13) (2) God Alone Reveals Truth (Daniel 2:14-23) (3) King Jesus Crushes our Fears (Daniel 2:24-49)

“Faithfulness & Fruitfulness” Daniel 1:8-21

Theme: As we live in this world we are resolved to love God more than the world Aim: Find comfort in God’s power to keep us, and that because of Christ we would be encouraged to be faithful, even as we walk as pilgrims in this world longing for the great revealing of our home in the Jerusalem from above (Gal. 4:26; Rev. 21:1-8). Persevere in faithfulness as we wait for our home with God forever. (1) Faithfulness, Resolved Resistance (Daniel 1:8-10) (2) God Gives (Daniel 1:11-17) (3) Fruitfulness, God’s Grace in Perseverance (Daniel 1:18-21)

“Forced Away from Home” Daniel 1:1-7

Theme: God keeps His Word and preserves His people in exile. Aim: Thou we mourn in lonely exile often in this world; Rejoice! Emmanuel has come and will come again to finally and fully ransom His people from the fall and from sin.
