“Gospel Partnership, Prayer, & Progress” Philippians 1:1-26

“Gospel Partnership, Prayer, & Progress” Philippians 1:1-26

An Expositional Sermon
Being a Christian is all-consuming. Christ is the fixed goal of our thoughts and actions, “For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” Too often this is not the description of my life. I wonder if you struggle with this too. Friends, let’s ask God to strengthen us to have the gospel drive our lives: Jesus Christ as our all; Jesus Christ as our purpose for living; less of us, and more of Christ (John 3:30). This means that when you work you’re working primarily for the Lord, not for men (1 Cor. 10:31; Col. 3:23). Our life is not our own, for we were bought at a price (1 Cor. 6:20; 7:23) with the precious blood of Jesus Christ.
