“Jesus Christ Is Worthy of Your All” Mark 12:35-44

Theme: Jesus is David’s Lord and son, beware of teachers who crave money and honor, and give your all to God. Aim: Worship God with your all, pray God would guard us from false teachers, pray that God would use our church to further His gospel (1) God’s King is David’s Son & Lord (Mark 12:35-37) (2) False Teachers Take for Selfish Gain (Mark 12:38-40) (3) Give Your All to God (Mark 12:41-44).

“The Beauty of the King” Mark 9:1-13

Theme: Jesus is resplendent [shining] in glory, is the fulfillment of the Law and the Prophets by dying and being raise from the dead. Aim: Walk away from this text in awe of Christ, and know more clearly that His the perfect fulfillment of God’s Word, and that we might walk with the hope of his care for us because Jesus died and rose again from the grave for His people. (1) Jesus Is Glorious (Mark 9:1-4) (2) What does Jesus Do? He fulfills the Law & the Prophets (Mark 9:5-8) (3) How? Through His death and resurrection (Mark 9:9-13)

“What Does It Take to Reject God?” Mark 6:1-29

Theme: Rejecting God consists in offense and unbelief toward God, a lack of love for God’s people, not listening to the Bible, refusing to repent, and pursuing unsatisfying pleasures. Aim: See your unbelief, ask God to strengthen your faith, and trust in His ability to powerfully save you from the posture of underestimating that Jesus is mighty and true. Here’s how we reject God… (1) Be Offended & Don’t Believe in Jesus (Mark 6:1-6) (2) 3 “Do Nots” (Mark 6:7-13) a. Don’t Love God’s People (vv. 7-11, especially 11) b. Don’t Listen to the Apostles/Bible (vv. 7-11, especially 11) c. Don’t Turn from Your Sin (v. 12) (3) Ignore Who the Bible Says Jesus Is (Mark 6:14-16) (4) Pursue Weak Fleeting Pleasures (Mark 6:17-29)
