“Great Is the Lord” Psalm 145:1-21

“Great Is the Lord” Psalm 145:1-21

An Expositional Sermon
What’s your favorite song? If you you like instrumental music, your favorite song with words. You probably like those songs because they speak to something you feel. Even instrumental music at it’s best evokes thoughts and emotions attached to specific events, things and people in your life. Why do you think music touches us like that? Because God made us to sing, not necessarily well, but He made us to lift up our voices in song about what is most valuable in our lives. This is one reason why so much popular music falls short; it often sings of empty things. Today, we are considering the last Psalm of David in the Bible, and it’s no surprise that again, God intends to shape the way we think and sing through it.
