“True Beauty & True Betrayal” Mark 14:1-11
Theme: Fearing God rejects self-worship with money and embraces sacrificial worship.
Aim: Be caught up in the beauty of worshipping Christ with your whole life.
(1) Jesus Messes With Our Lives (Mark 14:1-2)
(2) True Beauty – Worshiping Christ (Mark 14:3-9)
(3) True Betrayal – Worshiping Ourselves (Mark 14:10-11)
“Jesus Didn’t Know Everything” Mark 13:32-37
Theme: We don’t know when Jesus is coming, but He is coming so keep watch.
Aim: Live your life for the glory of God in light of Christ’s certain return.
(1) Only the Father Knows (Mark 13:32)
(2) Be On Guard (Mark 13:33)
(3) Stay Awake (Mark 13:33-37).
“Jesus Is Coming Again!” Mark 13:1-31
Theme: Christ’s words are trustworthy,
Aim: Will you believe Him?
(1) Hope In Jesus (Mark 13:1-2)
(2) Listen to and Believe Jesus (Mark 12:13:3-8)
(3) Persevere (Mark 13:9-13)
(4) Trust and Obey Jesus’ Words (Mark 13:14-23)
(5) Be Encouraged that Jesus Is Coming Back (Mark 13:24-27)
(6) Jesus’ Words Last Forever (Mark 13:28-31)
“Jesus Christ Is Worthy of Your All” Mark 12:35-44
Theme: Jesus is David’s Lord and son, beware of teachers who crave money and honor, and give your all to God.
Aim: Worship God with your all, pray God would guard us from false teachers, pray that God would use our church to further His gospel
(1) God’s King is David’s Son & Lord (Mark 12:35-37)
(2) False Teachers Take for Selfish Gain (Mark 12:38-40)
(3) Give Your All to God (Mark 12:41-44).
“Love God!” Mark 12:28-34
Theme: We are only able to love God and our neighbors through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone.
Aim: Are there ways that you can give yourself more fully to God in worshipping Him with your whole life?
(1) Hear – Listen (Mark 12:28-29)
(2) Believe God Is One (Mark 12:29)
(3) Love God (Mark 12:30)
(4) Love Your Neighbor (Mark 12:31-34)
“Pay Your Taxes & Marriage Isn’t Forever” Mark 12:13-27
Theme: Jesus said to give up your life to God, and that Yahweh is the God of the living.
Aim: Worship God with your whole life, and submit to our earthly government. Pray for faith to believe in the resurrection and to find hope, not in earthly marriage, but being united to Jesus Christ as our Bridegroom.
(1) Pay Your Taxes (Mark 12:13-17)
(2) Marriage Isn’t Forever (Mark 12:18–27).
“Jesus’ Authority Was Rejected” Mark 11:27-12:12
Theme: Jesus has authority, our sin is responsible for His death, and the fear of man is a roadblock to Christ.
Aim: Submit to the authority of Jesus, see how your sinful heart is deceived to love sin, see how your fear and dishonesty with God can stand in the way of your relationship with God through Christ.
(1) Do You Reject Authority? (Mark 11:27-33)
(2) Would You Kill Jesus? (Mark 12:1-11)
(3) What Are You Afraid Of? (Mark 12:1)
“Jesus Rides on in Majesty” Mark 11:1-25
Theme: Jesus is a King who can’t be deceived, who rejects dead religion, and who enables prayer.
Aim: Pray that God would give us faith, that He would preserve us. Pray that God would give us the gift of daily repentance. Pray that God would set our affections and love upon Jesus. Pray that God would save our family and friends from a false sense of security in religion.

(2) We Can’t Deceive Jesus (Mark 11:12-14)
(3) Clearing Out Dead Religion (Mark 11:15-19),
(4) Faith Expressed in Prayer (Mark 11:20-25)
“True Greatness” Mark 10:32-52
Theme: Jesus leads by dying and rising again, by bearing wrath, serving, ransoming and giving sight.
Aim: Let this text reorient how you think about what is great, and submit to Jesus’ authority with a grateful heart.
Three Aspects of the Greatness of Christ
(1) Death & Resurrection (Mark 10:32-34)
(2) Bearing God’s Wrath, Serving, & Giving His Life as a Ransom for Many (Mark 10:35-45)
(3) Giving Sight (Mark 10:46-52)
“Who Stands Between You and God?” Mark 10:1-31
Theme: Jesus defines marriage, receives children, and invites us to lose everything to follow Him.
Aim: Be humbled in light of Jesus’ teaching about marriage, that He would make us more like children in our dependence upon Him, and be helped by Him to lose all things in order to follow Christ.
(1) Divorce & Marriage (Mark 10:1-12)
(2) Self & Children (Mark 10:13-16)
(3) Selfishness in Riches (Mark 10:17-31)
