“What Does It Take to Accept God?” Mark 7:1-37

An Expositional Sermon
Stand in awe of Christ. What are the implications of accepting and being accepted by God? Letting Christ open your ears and loose your tongue. Beg of Jesus to open your ears. Jesus I struggle with unbelief open my ears to be able to hear of your truth and let my heart be enraptured with you power and glory. Even as Moses cried out to God, “Please show me your glory” (Exod. 33:17-18) cry out to Christ. They hymn we sang earlier said, “O to grace how great a debtor daily I’m constrained to be. Let Thy grace, Lord like a fetter [chain], bind my wand’ring heart to Thee. Prone to wander, Lord I feel it, prone to leave the God I love. Take my heart, Lord, take and seal it, seal it for Thy courts above.” Lord Jesus my heart is weak and fickle. Jesus my ears are slow to hear your Word. Let your tongue, your thoughts, and conversation be strengthened to speak.
