Jesus forgives a man’s sin and paralysis. Jesus reads minds. Jesus called Matthew from the tax-booth to follow Him. Jesus came for the sick, the sinners, not the righteous. The new wine of the gospel, and the unshrunk patch of the gospel does not fit in the confines of legalistic Judaic pharisaism. Jesus heals a woman’s discharge of blood (by faith alone) and brings a girl back from the dead. Jesus heals two blind men (by faith alone). Jesus heals a mute demon possessed man. The Pharisees accuse Jesus of being demon possessed. Jesus taught in all the villages and proclaimed the gospel of the kingdom and healed every affliction. He had compassion on the crowds, they were like sheep without a shepherd. The harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few, pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.
Jesus has authority over sickness, sin, spirits – and His mission is to constantly preach the good news. Pray that God will send us out as laborers to preach the gospel too.
