“Preaching” 2 Timothy 3:16-4:5

A Topical Sermon (our normal preaching is expositional)
Preaching is necessary for us, for our city, for our country and for the nations. Listen to how Paul described the necessity of preaching in Romans 10:14-15, “How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!'” Let’s be a church that treasures preaching, because we treasure Christ, because we love God and His Word, and because we long to see His face. Let’s treasure preaching so that we can be built up to share the gospel with our neighbors. Let’s treasure preaching, because we do not live by bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God (Deuteronomy 8:3; Matthew 4:4; Luke 4:4).
