“Baptism” Romans 6:1-14

Theme: Baptism is the immersing of believers in Jesus Christ united them to the church and is a picture of conversion from sin to Jesus Christ. Aim: Let us be found faithful as we practice baptism corresponding to faith in Christ, an appeal for a good conscience washed clean through the blood of Christ. “Preaching” 2 Timothy 3:16-4:5

Theme: Preaching is the proclamation of God’s Word and the applying of God’s Word to listeners through the gospel. Aim: Treasure preaching so that we can find our satisfaction in Christ, and be built up to share the gospel with our neighbors. (1) What is Preaching? a. Theme: A church is created by God’s Word, a gathering/assembly of believers, with members, meets regularly on the Lord’s day, is orderly, and has the marks of the right preaching of the Word, administration of baptism and the Lord’s Supper, and church discipline. Aim: If you trust in Christ, joyfully join a church. “Jesus Came Back from the Dead” Mark 16:1-8

Theme: Christ rose from the dead. Aim: Pray that God would strengthen our faith in Christ’s resurrection and help us to fight for hope in an often hopeless world, because of the resurrection. Jesus’ resurrection was… (1) On The First Day of the Week (Mark 16:1-2) (2) Unexpected (Mark 16:3-5, 8) (3) Was Powerfully Able to Save (Mark 16:6-7)

“Elders – A Brief Overview” 1 Timothy 3:1-7

Theme: God gives biblical local churches the gift of elders. Aim: Pray that God would give us the gift of qualified elders.
