They went through Amphipolis, Apollonia, and came to Thessolonica. Paul reasoned 3 sabbaths (Saturdays) at the synagogue, proving from the Scriptures that Christ had to suffer and rise. Herod persecuted the church. He killed James (John’s brother). It pleased the Jews, so he arrested Peter. Peter was put in prison and the church prayed earnestly to God for him.
